The Des Moines Big Band
The Des Moines Big Band was founded in 1959, and has been in a continuous jam session ever since. Considered the elite modern/ contemporary jazz orchestra for hundreds of miles around, it has become a regular stopping ground for touring artists such as Bobby Shew, Frank Perowsky, Dick Oatts, John Fedchock, Paul McKee, Richie Cole, John Mosca & Clark Terry, to mention a few. Appears every Monday night, Sept thru May at the Adventureland Inn Restaurant. 6:30 to 10. |
