Description:
Ides of March,
featuring Jim Peterik
August 13-14, 8 p.m.
In 1970 Ides of March released their debut album, “Vehicle,†which flew up the Billboard charts and sold over a million copies. They then toured for three years, releasing 15 singles and four albums, before going on a 17 year sabbatical during which lead vocalist and guitarist Jim Peterik became a co-founder, songwriter, and keyboardist for the group Survivor, penning hits like “Eye of the Tiger†and “The Search Is Over.â€
The original group reunited in 1990 for what was supposed to be a one-time concert event that drew over 25,000 fans and turned into an indefinite string of concert performances characterized by the special chemistry of a band that still has all of its original members more than 30 years after their inception.
